Job Description

WhyQ is Singapore’s largest hawker food delivery service and is one of Singapore’s fastest growing startups. Having just raised our Series A funding round, we are expanding aggressively. This is an extremely exciting opportunity for a driven and hardworking individual to play a key role in a young and dynamic team. Reporting to the co-founders and working cross-functionally with other departments, the candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the Company.


  • Implement the day-to-day functions of finance department
  • Perform daily and monthly accounting works, cashflow analysis, budget controlling, cost monitoring and prepare financial reports
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of invoice billing and payment
  • Reconcile discrepancies arising between system and financial records, and proactively seek solutions to identify, explain, minimise and clear discrepancies
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders across the company to ensure smooth and efficient operations of daily finance
  • Perform ad-hoc projects and financial analysis as assigned


  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related finance field; CPA or CA or ACCA qualification preferred. 
  • Minimum 2-3 years of accounting and financial analysis experience
  • Highly proficient in advanced Excel (e.g. Pivot Tables, vLookups etc.)
  • Proven track record to succeed in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, startup/technology environments
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work well with people across all levels
  • High degree of integrity, and ability to deal sensitively with confidential material
  • Ability to work well under pressure, meticulous, and employs a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Proficiency in English, oral and written; additional Asian languages would be an advantage
