Job Responsibilities:

• To ensure all fire escape routes, passageways, exit doors are clear of any obstruction
• To perform regular patrol to inspect Airline House and Hanger Complex to ensure its fire safety standard.
• To check and ensure that fuel spillage in any location is being cleaned and disposed
• To ensure all combustible waste products and flammable waste is disposed off
• To check for combustible material and flammable vapours
• To act as a firewatcher during hot works operations
• To check all fire equipment to ensure that it is in working conditions
• To familiar with all operations and control of the fire detection and extinguishing system
• To closely monitor, report and record the operational status of the followings:
• Fire Annunciation Panel (for Hanger Proper
• Fire Annunciation Panel (for annex building/ ancillary building)
• Fire/Jockey pumps
• All other parts of the fire detection and extinguishing system
• To closely monitor from the FCR window for potential fire hazards within the hangers
• To receive and record all fire alarm calls (Genuine or false) and respond expeditiously to all fire alarm
• To report all defects and irregularities in the hanger fire protection system to the duty officer
• To attend to all Emergency Calls
• In the event of a real fire, for the hanger proper, monitor the fire situation and assist in fire fighting
• To announce the relevant fire warning instructions through the PA system located in each FCR whenever a fire alarm triggers off when a hazardous fire condition develop in the Hanger Complex requiring the evacuation of the occupants
• To issue Hot Work or Hot Bond Permit with FSM’s approval and conduct check at the site on a regular basis
• To attend to request for spray painting operations or other related matters
• To maintain a list of contact telephone numbers of essential personnel in SIA
• To keep track of the operational status of the fire detection and fire extinguishing system and ensuring operational readiness at all times
• To update the Fire Services Occurrence Book/Operation Log Book to reflect the day to day operation of the Fire Support Services

Job Requirements:

• Served 2 years as NS operational firefighter in SCDF or CAAS or AES or at least 2 years as a regular operational fire safety man in an Industrial Fire Brigade
• Candidate must possess at least Professional Certificate/NiTEC in Others or equivalent.
• At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Required Skill(s): SCDF Fire Fighter

• Day : 9.00 am – 9.00 pm
• Night: 9.00 pm – 9.00 am
